role models

Whether it’s mastering money management, or learning new skills to kickstart a career, we want to help young people build the confidence and belief they need to make their goals a reality. So, we’ve partnered with some extraordinary role models to show them what’s possible for their futures.
Our Team GB and ParalympicsGB ambassadors
We’re proud to be the official banking partner to Team GB and ParalympicsGB. Together we’re helping the nation take a little more action. Meet our ambassadors.

Meet Beth
Bethany Shriever MBE was just nine years old when she got her first taste of BMX. Falling in love with the sport, she set her sights on going to the Olympics. When funding for women’s BMX was withdrawn in 2016, the fire was lit inside Beth, and through self-funding and being a teacher she managed to get herself to Tokyo, winning the GOLD medal! She hopes to be a role model and an inspiration to young female BMX riders all over the UK.

Meet Lola
Lola Tambling began skateboarding when she was seven. Now aged 17, she’s known for her exceptional skills, creativity and dedication to breaking barriers in the sport. As a two-time British Female Park Champion, Lola also made history by becoming one of the first British female skateboarders to compete at an Olympic Games, in Paris 2024. She’s quickly establishing herself as a leader in the world of skateboarding, influencing both the sport and its culture with her talent, unique style and authenticity.

Meet William
William Ellard made his Paralympic debut at Paris 2024, coming away with gold medals in the S14 200m freestyle and S14 4 x 100m freestyle mixed relay – and an individual world record to boot. The Beccles-born swimmer also claimed silver in the S14 100m butterfly in the French capital to cap off a terrific first-ever Paralympic Games. His success in Paris came off the back of two stellar years in 2023 and 2024, winning medals in the World Para Swimming Championships and the European Championships.
